Sniper rifles are weapons that always have a scope and can't shoot unless it is on. One exception to that is if you have auto-fire disabled, then, you can shoot even without looking down the scope. Sniper Rifles all have maxed accuracy and very high damage, but they are slow and don't have a very great rate of fire. It is best to use them to pick off enemies from long distances.
